Dmitri

Dmitri is one of 2 paintings (the other is Bela) exploring meaning and intent. Painted almost entirely using my hands, I wanted the abstractness of the ‘flowers’ to simultaneously elicit frustration, sadness and beauty. Like a rainbow after a storm, or stars on a clear night, the bursting forth of the ill-formed flowers symbolize the meaning held within the darkness.
