Sharon Black is a popular artist and tutor in and around her home area of Fife and has collectors of her work throughout the UK.
She’s had a passion for art since childhood, inspired by her vivid imagination and fuelled by a love of reading and old movies.
Her paintings are striking, floral abstracts in bold, vibrant, energising colours. Inspired by nature’s rich colours and shapes.
She uses a variety of mediums, always seeking to make an impact with colour and texture. This has developed into an often experimental approach to achieving the desired outcome.
She studied English & Film at University followed by a MSc, leading to a career in academia. But her art was always a passion and an escape. It was only after falling ill that she was able to embrace it fully. And she hasn’t looked back.
